This will be one article in a series of articles highlighting cards in the football sets. the 1994 Fleer Ultra base set contains 525 cards total, with 325 cards in series one and 200 cards in series two. It has key rookie cards of likely future hall of famers and Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce, along with star cards of Brett Favre, John Elway, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Joe Montana and many others.
The all rookies insert card set also is highlighted by Bettis and Bledsoe. The Marshall Faulk rookie card, #133 in the set, and the Isaac Bruce rookie card, #162 in the set, are fantastic choices for modestly priced valuable football rookie cards. The set has quite a detailed value per single card in different price guides. Maybe it is a good set to get at a good price. There is an autographed Rick Mirer card in the set of Michael Irvin insert cards, it books at $25 and is a rare pull in packs. All of those autographed cards inserted in packs are rare for the most part in the early 1990s and I would guess that you will have to pay near or full or more than book value to get that card even though he did not have as great of a professional career as many expected based on the high expectations he had coming into the NFL from Notre Dame. I personally have never seen the card but would consider it highly sought after just because these early 1990's pack inserted autographs are not easy to find. The Ultra Stars insert set consists of 9 cards and is a great insert set, as is the Touchdown Kings insert set. These sets are still inserted into recent Fleer Ultra football card sets, and they started back in these early 1990's years. The set is worth collecting and it won't set you back a great deal of money in comparison to high end sets. This is a great set to collect.
