A football card collection should have a large amount of rookie cards in my opinion. Currently, this page will feature articles written already by me, and in the future new articles will be added. There are different ways of obtaining these cards, and of obtaining vintage cards. I am familiar with Ebay auctions that are sold in big lots. They feature a lot of vintage cards in a lot, and you get either cards of one year or of several mixed in. Depending on how much you are willing to pay, you can get a great deal of cards and in many cases, get them fairly cheap compared to full book value. This method, however, will prevent you from being able to easily get specific card numbers in the set for set building purposes. Online websites and brick and mortar baseball card stores also offer single cards in the set according to what they have. Browsing online inventories has never been easier than it is nowadays, with not only quantity of items but also an abundance of choices. I find for me that Ebay is simply the best way to buy football cards, I have bought and sold many cards on there and they always treat me well. When 1980 Topps cards are being considered, there are baseball, basketball, footballs and hockey cards. There are some awesome cards in these sets. For baseball, to start, there is a Rickey Henderson rookie card. That is the best card in the set and then there are many hall of famers including Nolan Ryan. In Football, there is a Phil Simms rookie card along with former running back great Otis Anderson. In basketball, there is one of my favorite cards ever produced which is the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson dual rookie panel card. Hockey cards have Wayne Gretzky second year cards along with Ray Bourque rookie cards. A complete set of each would make your collection quite valuable, there is a lot of potential within these sets. 1989 Score Football cards are a fantastic choice for the fact that they contain rookie cards of Troy Aikman and Barry Sanders, as well as Deion Sanders and Derrick Thomas. There is also Michael Irvin, Rod Woodson, and many other great rookies from this year and this year of football cards from Score was produced in limited quantities.
